SPOILER: Brising Video Message by Paolini

i think the new enemy is going to be the elves because 1. it might slip that he is a son of morzan 2. the elves might get angry that he has to dig under the menoa tree to get his weapon becase he has to get a new one.

Plus, the elves would react like Arya did: it will come as a shock to them, but Eragon behaves nothing like his “father” he behaves like Brom. (who really is his father, Paolini just didn’t say it outright because that would be bad writing technique to say one majorly surprising thing and then contradict it with another revelation… ya know?)

Because most of these details were revealed before the third book was split into two volumes, some of these details may appear in the fourth book instead of the third.
In the Eragon Newsletter of March 2006, Paolini writes near the end that the book is “coming along nicely” and that he has a battle to write.
In March 2005, Christopher Paolini was interviewed by shurtugal.com and he revealed the following information:[8][9]
At the end of Eldest, the Varden still favor Nasuada in terms of leadership, but Paolini has hinted that in the third book, this might change.
Paolini also mentioned that in the third book it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate.
More information about Tornac (Murtagh’s old friend and trainer) will be revealed.
Elva, along with “every other character”, will have an important role to play.
Paolini answered some questions for his fans on his official site in July and August 2006[10] and gave a video interview in December 2006 to promote the movie.[11]
It is unclear how Thorn, Murtagh’s dragon, matured to rival Saphira despite their age difference, but Christopher Paolini has stated that it will be revealed in the coming book.
The nature of the spirits that sorcerers summon will be revealed; already it has been stated that they are not the souls of sentient creatures returned from the afterlife.
According to Eldest, Eragon and Saphira have given their oath to return to the elves for further training as dragon and rider.
In February 2007, Paolini answered an Open Letter of the Czech fan site Alagaesia.net and Eragon1.net. He answered the following questions regarding the third book of the Inheritance Cycle (before it was split into two books):[12]
Information about Brom’s lover (referred to by Angela) will be revealed.
Eragon has yet to acquire the new weapon referred to in the first book, wherein Solembum said, “When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa tree”.
Eragon has yet to visit the Vault of Souls and speak his name, as instructed by Solembum as a continuation of the above command; “Then, when all seems lost and your power is insufficient, go to the rock of Kuthian and speak your name to open the Vault of Souls”.

In March 2008, a spoiler was released on the cycle’s homepage Alagaësia.com, stating that “In Brisingr, Eragon will meet a god.”[13]
In May 2008, a second spoiler was released saying that, “Eragon will meet a terrifying new enemy; one who likes to laugh a lot, but not in a good way”.[14]
In July 2008, a third and final spoiler was released on Alagaesia.com, stating that “In Brisingr, one of the characters will become pregnant”.
August 14th, 2008 at 5:28 pmI think you rule christy for giving those spoilers I hope Eragon finds out that his real father is god when he goes to the vault of souls making Murtagh his half brother and that in order to unleash his true powers he must say his true name and that it will be Brisingr. And I think that the part of Ayra’s past revealed is that one of the elves killed when she got captured by durza in the first book was her mate which is why she doesn’t return Eragons love. And I think Eragon will get the weapon from the Menoa tree by summoning it with magic. Let me know what you think of my ideas peace .

August 31st, 2008 at 1:40 pmI think that the next rider will be a girl, but not Arya, because she is already elf princess and is already caught up with many other jobs. So I think Eragon will fall in love with the other rider, because in his dream, they were holding hands. Also, I agree that they will reveal who Arya’s guy is because there are probably multiple meanings of why Arya is not attracted to Eragon. For some strange reason, I thought that Angela might be Brom’s lover, but it doesn’t seem very probable. I think Roran will become king and Eragon will get some help from other places outside of Alegasia. Overall, I can’t wait for the book!

what if oriks fiancee (forgot her name) actually becomes a dragon rider!? one it be unexpected since shes a dwarf and two, i think the next rider will be a girl. i doubt it would happen but it could be a possibility…

i think that the next rider should definatly be a girl it would balance everything out. but it should not be a dwarf. orik said they are scared of hights and the dwarfs now have to worry about finding a new king not a new rider
