Eragon the Book
Eragon is the bestselling first book in the Inheritance Cycle, a high fantasy series by Christopher Paolini. It was first published in 2002 and has also been made into a movie of the same name. Eragon is also the name of the main character of the Inheritance Cycle.
The book was first published in 2002 by Paolini International, but it didn’t break through. After having been republished by Alfred A. Knopf in 2003 it became a bestseller with large success worldwide. It is set in the fictional world of Alagaësia, which is a world populated by humans elves, dwarves and dragons - among other races.
Eragon has been criticized for drawing much on earlier literature, but is nevertheless generally considered a great book by a talented young author.

Christopher Paolini should write more books once he has finished Inheritance, but they won’t be as good because you relate to the characters rather than to the style of writing.

What, adds on MORE to this trilogy (well, now a cycle). Those books are huge, and I love to read them; not saying they’re too long. But do you know how much time and effort it takes to write a huge book like that - well, you do, considering the long waits between each book. And he already has a plot planned - I’d rather have him finish it the way he originally planned rather than go on and make up NEW adventures for Eragon! Oh jolly! That’s when the series loses the spark, if you know what I mean…

who only read the books after seeing the movie, it’s wrong, you just can’t get the full effect and really learn about the charcters and such.

Wow. I am about half way through the first book, eragon, reading it for the second time. I have also read the second book and can’t wait for brisingr to be released. I am only thirteen and i love these books.
